At the Atlanta Association of Health Care Recruiters, you can network with peers and connect with national resources online and during association meetings. Our Mission
The Atlanta Association of Health Care Recruiters provides leadership and support to area healthcare recruitment through advocacy, education, networking and professional development.

Our Objective
To promote and maintain healthcare recruiting as a profession by exchanging ideas, promoting communication between recruiters within the area, and building a foundation of sound ethical healthcare recruiting practices.

Our Committees
Marketing/Events/Communication - In order to support AAHCR's Mission and Objective, it's important to promote an cohesive environment that encourages camaraderie.  To achieve this, the Marketing/Events/Communication Committee strives to organize social, networking and charitable events in addition to the general meetings.  One of the largest accomplishments of this committee has been the annual AAHCR Conference.  With 2007 being the inaugural year, this event not only provided AAHCR Member Recruiters with a great educational, career-enhancement and networking opportunity, but enabled AAHCR to reach out to non-AAHCR members and increase the organization's membership.  The Committee has also organized charitable events to help give back to our community.  AAHCR sponsors an annual donation drive for the not-for-profit group, Stand Up for Kids (www.standupforkids.org).  Other outreach initiatives have included Toys for Tots and Military Families.  

Communication is another component of the Committee's mission.  AAHCR members are always up to speed with upcoming events through emails, e-cards, vendor donated advertisements, etc.  The Committee also keeps the AAHCR website up to date and provide members and visitors to communicate via a user-friendly forum.  For more information regarding the Marketing/Events/Communication Committee, please contact Lisa Blacker at 770-818-0303 or lisa@bwstuff.com.

Speakers' Bureau - We all deal with the healthcare labor shortage on a daily basis and it’s only going to get worse as the Boomers retire.  Part of the solution must be creating interest in healthcare careers early in childhood education.  By stimulating interest at the middle school level, students can pursue coursework that will prepare them for clinical tracks.  AAHCR’s Speakers’ Bureau has developed an age appropriate mini brochure to expand the students’ vision in the range of roles including support positions.  In addition, a dedicated team of members is available to visit schools and speak with students.  The Committee anticipates development of additional tools and volunteers are always welcome!  Contact Tina Davis at 770-425-0887 or tdavis@nasrecruitment.com for more information.
